I spoke with Jana Simashkevich. She is an associate director at RBC, which is one of the big banking institutions in Canada. She manages a team of developers and QA analysts supporting a trading platform in the bank.

Jana focused her career a lot around data and database development. We discussed how she became a team manager and what you should do if you want to progress on your career.
